The Cabot percussion robot was born in the mind of Hideaki Iio, Director of the Cabot development team (and guitar player/singer). “I wanted to create a product that would rev up my solo performance.”
He assembled a team of various engineers and bounced ideas off of other musicians leading to the steady improvement of the prototype.

Our first public exhibition of the Cabot prototype was at the famed SXSW 2017 Conference/Music (attendance 70,000+). We were amazed at how strongly both professional and amateur musicians from around the world connected to our product.
